Country Pure Foods is seeking an energetic and capable individual to maintain and repair production related machinery involved in the blending, processing, and packaging of juice and water products.   We are in search of an individual who possesses solid mechanical abilities, demonstrates a strong commitment to safety, and displays a positive attitude and good team working skills. Previous experience with liquid filling and high speed packaging equipment and food or beverage industry experience is desired.

Duties and Responsibilities
 
Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.
 
Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
 
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
 
Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
 
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
 
Repairs or replaces defective parts and lubricates and cleans parts as needed in accordance with food/beverage manufacturing quality system practices.
 
Installs special functional and structural parts in devices and starts devices to test their performance.
 
Follows instructions, responds to management direction
 
Works with Maintenance Manager to prioritize and plan work activities and completes work in timely manner
 
Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
 
Works within approved budget and conserves organizational resources.
 
Follows policies and procedures and observes safety and security procedures.
 
Uses equipment and materials properly and reports potentially unsafe conditions.
 
Is consistently at work and on time and commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals.
 
Assists in the maintenance of maintenance related inventory records and performs cycle counts as necessary.
 
Possesses the Skills and Knowledge, and able to meet the Physical Demands and perform in the work environment described in the Work Environment section below.
 
 
Job Specifications
 
Education and/or Experience                                                
One year certificate from college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
Language Skills                                             
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
 
Mathematical Skills                                                   
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
 
Reasoning Ability                                                      
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
 
Judgment/Decision Making
 
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.   Willingness to make decisions and exhibit sound and accurate judgment. Ability to manage competing demands and deal with frequent changes delays, or unexpected events while reacting well under pressure.
 
Computer Skills                                             
To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess basic computer and keyboarding skills and have knowledge of and be competent in the use of Inventory and Maintenance Related Software. PLC experience a plus.
